Meet Our Team

Barry DesRoches

Barry is the President and Managing Member of Vintage Settlement Services. Barry was engaged by Vintage Settlement Services in the fall of 2001 as a consultant to help establish systems and processes in a new business. Shortly thereafter Barry along with a group of investors purchased the business. Today Vintage conducts business in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia from their Crofton office and a series of satellite locations.

Barry graduated from the University of Maryland in 1980 with a Bachelors Degree in Business Management / Marketing and went on to earn a MBA in Finance from Loyola of Baltimore. Through the course of his career Barry has held leadership positions with Ryland Homes, Cardinal Industries, Baxter Healthcare and Digirad Imaging Solutions.

An active University of Maryland Alumnus Barry served as President of the Robert Smith School of Business’ Alumni Association, and as a member of the school’s Board of Visitors and Dean’s Council of Advisors. Maryland sports are a passion of Barry’s. Barry resides in Crofton, Maryland with his wife Lisa and their youngest child Shannon. He has two adult children, Brian and Mary Pat.

Amber Litchfield, Esquire

Amber joined Vintage Settlement Services in October of 2005 – recently graduated from the University of Baltimore Law School and admitted to the Maryland Bar on her first attempt! She has an undergraduate degree in Business Management / Accounting from the University of Maryland University College.

Amber handles all of Vintage’s legal needs and reviews and approves all deeds. Amber is a tremendous resource for Vintage’s clients and realtors and is always ready with a rapid response to all legal and contractual questions. Amber also has a general law practice, the Law Offices of Amber K. Litchfield.

Carrie joined Vintage Settlement Services in 2008 when Vintage Settlement Services acquired the assets of Security Title of Beltsville, Maryland. Carrie, a licensed settlement officer is celebrating her 25th anniversary in the business. Calm and very professional it has become commonplace for Vintage to receive complimentary phone calls about how great Carrie was to work with during the settlement process!

Carrie oversees all of Vintage’s processing and is there to help our customers every step of the way from order to settlement and beyond.

Melody Petro, Vintage Settlement Services
Melody Petro

“Mel” is celebrating her 5th year with Vintage Settlement Services! She joined the organization in March of 2006. Mel’s primary responsibility is post closing, handling all of the processing work once the transaction is closed. She ensures all prior loans are paid in full, documents are recorded, and liens released.

Mel also takes an active role in business development, bringing in new customers and keeping current customers delighted with Vintage's efforts!

Lisa DesRoches

Lisa assists Vintage’s efforts by helping Carrie on the processing end with binders. She also coordinates post closing lender requests.

Heather Taylor

Heather handles the financial and administrative operations for Vintage including accounts payable and accounts receivable. She is the “go to” person on all insurance related questions.

Roberta Sweeny, Vintage Settlement Services
Roberta Sweeney

“Bobbie” is a seasoned Real Estate professional having managed a busy brokerage office and also served in managerial roles in the title industry. She is an expert in new agent education. Bobbie serves as a settlement officer for Vintage.

Amy Zwinge

Amy is a real estate professional and settlement officer. Due to her skill in handling complex settlements she is often requested by some of the area’s top agents.
